Presidential Theme
Dear Colleagues,
It gives us immense pleasure to invite you to WIROC Global 2021.
We have faced the pandemic bravely since last 18 months and have ‘Adapted & Evolved’ to pace the Academics and Learning process in these challenging times. WIROC Global is based on this BOS Presidential theme of ‘Adapt & Evolve’ and will bring out best of adaptations and evolutions that orthopaedics has undergone recently. With the insights from the pandemic and the rich tradition of Bombay Orthopaedic Society & WIROC, we have formulated a grand vision of ‘WIROC GLOBAL’ for all of us that we assure will be a life time enriching event for every delegate.
WIROC Global is planned to be a full-fledged physical event with maximum Academic time. We are offering a Live Surgery Platter to the delegates with preview of 6 operation theatres running parallel with Live discussions. There will be Hands-on-Workshops with dedicated Instructional Course Lectures running on all days of the conference. We have added Global flavour by inviting International Societies to conduct dedicated specialised sessions as per their speciality. There will be outreach sessions for National Societies where they will be invited to present their best work. It is planned to be a global event with participation of International and National Societies. There is a huge virtual part to the meeting too and WIROC Global will be running 24 hours Live with participation of countries and societies from across the Globe.
The conference will happen on 25-27 March 2022, at Renaissance Powai, Mumbai. Attractive rates and packages have been negotiated to receive maximum number of delegates who can enjoy the physical bonding and partake in academic and social events during WIROC GLOBAL

At WIROC Global, the organizers wish to encourage more delegates to present their work. With this in mind, abstracts can be submitted for submission in 6 broad categories. The best abstract in every category will be selected for presentation at the Masalawala Best paper session.

Scientific research that you have conducted can be presented as Free Papers. If the paper is selected, then you will get an opportunity to make a podium presentation of your work at WIROC Global.

At WIROC Global, we will be running an OPEN Theatre where videos made by delegates will be presented by the delegates. The videos must highlight routine or innovative procedures, newer technique or even examination of a patient.

An interesting case / series of cases either because it is an unusual presentation or an unexpected outcome or innovatively treated is ideal for presentation during this session. If selected, you will get a podium presentation to highlight your case. The best presentations will be selected for the BEST CASE session at WIROC Global.

This is a new session in which you can present your published work about which you can be proud of. The published work must not be presented in any previous WIROCs or at National / International /Conferences.

An E-poster is a short powerpoint presentation detailing your scientific work. At WIROC Global, your PPT will be uploaded onto computers at the conference venue and will be open for viewing by delegates during the course of the conference.

If you are a young turk (<40 years of age on or before 31st December 2021), who is doing some outstanding clinical/ basic science work that you wish to showcase at WIROC Global, this is your chance. If selected for this prestigious award, you will get a podium presentation during the Plenary Session at WIROC Global. Only original work conducted in India can be submitted for consideration.
